The things I used to put my Imaginary Friend through as a young girl. Yeah, good old Benedict was like a Knight on a White Horse, I guess. Other girls had fairies, or window reflections, or even maybe unicorns for imaginary friends -- I -- had Benedict. He was more some kind of Medieval General who commanded great armies than a true knight. A pretty odd character for a girl's imaginary friend. These days I look back at all the girly things I put him through, and I wonder how often he felt like calling the Imaginary Friends Temp Agency and requesting a transfer. I'm glad he stuck it out with me through all the years though.

No one else could SEE him, but I could. So he is my Muse of Sight for the Song of the Senses. My theme this year is The Muse and I must illustrate a Muse in each of the five senses.
